Innovation: Such a simple pleasure of mine.

I can't get enough of Design! I wish I could meet the designer of every product I come across, ever! Because I would shake their hand and say, "That'll do...that'll do." For those of you that will understand this next statement: I would probably leave the "pig" part out...as hard as that is, being that "pig" makes the saying, however, I rather not insult the respectable creator of my favorite nick nacks...so I will sacrifice the roll-off-the-tongue sensation of the phrase and stick to "That'll do".
Ok, now that we have gotten that business taken care of...back to the latest remarkably innovative creation! It is by Nook. In my opinion, they are the leaders of time wear, as far as design goes. Well...as far as time wear goes...period. For some reason, spelling "period" out makes for a more volatile depiction. :) Anyways, Nook, a delectably chic watch company, has these amazing and unique time keepers. They are watches with time kept by graphic, linear bars that read the hours and minutes! This innovative approach to watching time was so unique that it earned itself a patent. Making it that much cooler!
Pretty sweet huh? I just wanted to share this cool find! :) Take care!

If I ever go to Austria, I am soooo checking into this hotel!

This is ridiculously awesome! This is a fascinating hotel in Austria, designed by a former architectural design student. It is an outdoor hotel, which at the moment consists of three rooms, and then a main area that has dining and other perks. The rooms are, quite obviously, concrete pipes, with a cozy little bed installed. It has space for your belongings underneath, and a little lamp. Just a sweet little escape. The coolest part is that the prices are based on the honor system. So you just leave however much you think the stay was worth. Hopefully they don't get jipped! I would hope the human souls that stay here are just as fascinated by this hotel as I am, and therefore, pay accordingly.

Anyways, I just found this as I was browsing the Internet one day and it made me really happy! I love creativity! Everyone was built with some sort of creativity within, and it so intriguing to see the different translations of it. Well until next time! Ciao!

Love love,

Rach

Totally fabuloso trinks and tros!

I was scrolling through some google images recently trying to find some refrigerator containers that I thought up in my head, and therefore have no clue whether they truly exist, what I would even call them, and where they would even be located....so I resorted to Google.  Anyways, during my search for these imaginary (for now) containers, I came across some awesome things.  One of these said, awesome, trinkets are ice cubes made out of rock!  Yea, you read correctly my perturbed friend.  These ice cubes are made from ancient Swedish pollution-free base rock.  All you do is pop them in the freezer for about an hour before use, and they keep your beverage nice and cold without watering it down!  Amazing!  When you are done, just rinse them and then place them back into the freezer encased in their exquisite leather pouch for next time.  This world does not cease to amaze me, and that is why design is an everlasting passion within me...there is always something to be inspired about.

This a story about a change in me...

I have decided that I have been living in a box, trying to figure out how to properly express myself through this blog. I hate being in a box! While it is true, I love Fashion, and all things fashionable, I had to make a change to this Blog. It needs to be a means for me to open my box and spill out my box's contents. And so it will be; I will instead write about the things I love from now on. Fashion, yes; but realize, there are more things to Fashion than just clothing. Here are the things that I have found myself hopelessly in love with as of late.
I have decided to start writing everything in cursive. I just think cursive is so beautiful, and it is getting lost in this world. :( In the hopes of never letting it die out completely, I have committed myself to bringing it back into play in my life.
Next is my newest fancy for all things dress-like. That goes for skirts, dresses, and anything of the like. There is something so sweet about them. Wearing them reminds me of dress-up when my sister, cousin, and I were but little daydreamers, capitalizing on our deep imaginations. To me a dress is a sweet memory.
Finally, my life is all about the green tea, mixed with a hibiscus tea (in honor of my dear friend Ashpea). There is nothing better than sitting down after a long days work with a hot spot of tea, and pressing play on your favorite motion picture.
And so...there has been a change in me, I have found, since I have moved to Oklahoma. God pulled me from my home, like clay from a rock. However, it was not to bring me discomfort in being uprooted. It was to bring me to a place that I had nowhere else to go but to Him, nobody else to lean on but Him, and nobody else to focus on but Him. Then, and only then, was I able to let Him mold me into who He intended me to be. My potential was being limited in my rock...that place in the rock I was dwelling, fit me perfectly, and I to it. Perfect seems perfect right? Well I soon realized that perfect in that sense, meant comfortable. The Lord calls upon us to step out of our comfort zone...by doing so, we surrender everything to Him. This allows Him to do His best work, and that is what He is doing with me right now. Clay in His hand, He intends on making a masterpiece out of me, not for my glory, but for His own. And so it is with that, I say, there has been a change in me. I have found myself hopelessly in love with God. My eyes have been opened, and they crave beauty. Beauty in its simplest, most pure, and natural form; as God created it. Hence my retreat in taste, back to fundamentals, back to innocence, back to purity, back to Love.
"God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgement, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear....We love each other because He loved us first." ~1 John 4:16-19

Let's see what's cookin for the Holidays!

Not in the oven....what should be in our closets! Yup, I'm back for my second post!  I mentioned in my first post that I would share fashion, art, and design that inspires me.  I have selected a few looks that we will be seeing this holiday season, which thankfully, anybody, with any sized penny, could create from their own closet, or find at the place every artist loves from the depths of their creatively odd soul; the thrift store.  Since this Creative Liberator (a.k.a. Blog) is new, I have taken looks that are for the timid viewer, less ecstatic and lurid, more mellow...simple...easier to understand.  I don't want you guys to think I'm crazy, I'll ease you into my world.  Hahaha
I love these looks!  These looks have a professional silhouette with a warm color pallet.  To add interest to the simple lines, and classic styles, splashes of bright colors are incorporated; just a nuance of fun to spruce up the ole work outfit.  I realize not everybody likes to do the professional look, so I will just give a few pointers on how to get creative to make them a little more casual.
#1.
This outfit is super classic in design.  The skirt has a bit of unique personality with its subtly altered shape, but other than that it is pretty typical for a nice skirt suit.  The color is perfect for the warm pallet I talked about; while beige can more often be found in the spring/summer seasons, this year it has found a cozy lil' spot in the fall/winter color story.  It adds a sort of rebellious touch to the fall collections, but it is fashion!! We are allowed to have spring colors in winter if we want!  The designer uses her pumps here for that nuance of color to make things a little more interesting.
#2.
Could it be the little black dress?  Why yes...yes it is!  Let it be known that all closets everywhere will never have to be without the little black dress, for it is one article of clothing that will never leave the runway.  This version is fun, I like the fact that it is long sleeve, and keep your eyes peeled for the oversized belts!  These belts work for a variety of body types, and adds thrill to any simple ensemble.  P.S. The length is perfect; where it to work, or where it out, it is classy and respectable.
#3.
I love this one!  It is a little bit more bold in style than the others so far, but in this generation it is important to present yourself boldly.  It seems like there is never enough time to actually get to know anyone, sadly, so artistic expression through what you wear seems to be the best outlet for describing who you are, in a nutshell.  Yes, we have all heard, "Don't judge a book by its cover."  But let's not be naive people!  This world judges, and this generation is moved by self expression, through fashion, art, and media....so get used to it.  So I say, present yourself sensibly and with class, BUT, do not, I repeat, do not sell your creativity short.  Live it up!  If you feel like wearing it, for goodness sake, where it!  Ok that was my two cents.  Now, why I chose this look; it is simple in color, and classic in impression.  I say classic in impression because of the trousers.  They are trousers indeed, yet, she takes the classic pant and shifts their typical existence in such a way that, they now, put off merely the impression of classic, with a modern edge.  Now, the shoes; I say yes to the boldness.  They are definitely a great pair of boots.  However, if it were me, and I was thinking, "work" for this ensemble, I would switch to a super cute pump, probably just as simple in color, and then add my special surprise of fabulous color via a sweet little cardigan, or gourmet leather jacket, both cropped in length to accentuate the high waist. :)
Ok, three should be good to chew on for now.  The great thing about these outfits is that the styles are so readily available in our wonderful thrift stores, because women let go of them to keep up with the high fashion...they didn't really think about the fact that they would be coming back in sooner than they thought!  :)  So for that, I say thank you!  Alright!  Until next time, enjoy!  Goodnight!
Love, love,
Rach

Welcome! Here is how to understand me and my Blog... :)

We are all a piece of a grand puzzle.  Each made majestically specific for a predetermined purpose.  Stop trying to change your shape, otherwise you will never fit into that place God designed you specifically for.

Hi, welcome to my first Blogster!
(side note:  I hate the word Blog... sooooo...just prepare yourself for a new invention of the word...Blogster is the rough draft, have some faith.)
I was just discussing Blogging with my friend Ryan today.  I have always wondered about Blogging; whether it would be fun, possibly satisfying for my secret fascination of writing.  Then the thought of incorporating my uncontainable obsession for Fashion and Design prompted an entirely new secret yen for it; yet somehow...along the way, not so secret.  Not so secret probably due to the fact that I am here now, with a brand new Blog, explaining the entire thought process behind it, so naturally, it can be dubbed, not so secret.
Ryan and I went on to talk about the possibilities for a Blog; myself, excited to be randomly creative, as I myself am randomly creative, and Ryan, expressing the thoughtful question of whether it would be fun even if nobody read it..........................a mutual decision was congregated after a short, yet in my case, productively considerate, pause; yes, it would still be fun.  Maybe this is inconceivable to most people, however, I decided that my secret fascination for Blogging, which we have come to the very natural conclusion of being not so secret, is more for the sake of releasing my creative depths than for the sake of entertainment.  Which, if that did end up being the case, it could, ironically, still be preserved as my "secret fascination".  Win, win.
So, here it goes.  If you do end up stumbling upon this Blog, enjoy, and I encourage you to comment, that would make things a lot more fun I think.  Check in later for fun stuff like Fashion, Art, and Design!
Until then...
Love love,
Rach
And P.S.  Seriously...Blog?  The word has got to go, along with every affiliation. :) K bye!
